The illustrated story featured in this handmade accordion book was derived from an interview with Palestinian immigrant and citizen Marcelle Rachmon. The interview and book were part of a 2017 project under the auspices of The Facing College project, a special initiative to highlight the stories of our foreign-born students at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan.
Materials: Original illustrations (watercolor, pen and ink), davey board, handmade and watercolor papers, accordion book, mica on cover title panel.
Size: approx. 7″ x 9″ panels x 16 pages (8 each side). Open size: approx. 42″ x 9″.
